Nina AimaneParticipantOkay so… I want to show my face in my videos, but the second I hit record my brain shuts off.
I start stuttering, forgetting words, and then I re-record like 20 times until I hate myself and delete everything.
Meanwhile other creators just talk effortlessly 😭
Is this something you get over or am I just not a camera person?December 18, 2025 at 12:38 pm #100000666
Emily WalkerParticipantYou’re normal. Like, extremely normal.
Most creators you think are “naturals” were awkward as hell at the start — they just didn’t post those clips.
Don’t force full-face videos yet. That’s like jumping into the deep end without knowing how to float.
Try easing in:
• Film hands only
• Do voiceovers
• Angle the camera so only half your face shows
• Slowly work up to full face when it feels less terrifying
Confidence comes from reps, not from waiting until you feel ready.December 18, 2025 at 12:43 pm #100000669
Nina AimaneParticipantHonestly that makes me feel way better.
Hands + voiceover feels doable. Full face feels like a boss level I’m not ready for yet.December 19, 2025 at 9:10 am #100000674
Emily WalkerParticipantExactly. Beat the mini levels first. You’ll get there without realizing it.
