I. Privacy Policy
Last Updated: November 21, 2025
CreatorNetworking (“we,” “our,” “us”) is deeply committed to protecting your privacy and personal data. This Privacy Policy details the types of information we collect, how we use it, your rights, and the secure measures we take to protect it.
1. Information We Collect and Sources
We collect information from two primary sources: data you directly provide and data generated automatically through your use of the Service.
- A. Account and Profile Data (Directly Provided):
- Registration Identifiers: Username, hashed password, email address, and first/last name (if provided).
- Creator Profile Data: Bio, social media links, creator niche, and optional profile picture/avatar.
- Communication Records: Emails, support tickets, and chat logs from your correspondence with our support team.
- B. Usage and Activity Data (Automatically Collected):
- Interaction Data: Posts, comments, likes, private messages, group creation/joining, and connection requests.
- Activity Stream Data: Detailed records of actions performed while using the site. Crucially, the visibility of this activity is governed by its context (e.g., public profile activity is public; private group activity is restricted to members).
- C. Technical and Device Data (Automatically Collected):
- Network Identifiers: Internet Protocol (IP) address, approximate geolocation based on IP.
- Device Data: Device type, operating system (OS) version, browser type, and unique device identifiers.
- Log Data: Access times, pages viewed, referring/exit pages, and session duration.
- D. Checkout and Financial Information:
- Billing/Contact Details: Billing address and phone number (used for card verification and communication regarding your order).
- Payment Details: Full payment card details are not stored on our servers. They are securely tokenized and processed by our PCI DSS compliant third-party payment gateway. We only retain the last four digits of the card number and the expiration date for transactional reference and notification purposes.
2. Legal Basis and Purpose for Using Your Information
We process your data only when we have a valid legal basis to do so:
| Processing Purpose | Legal Basis (e.g., under GDPR) | Detailed Use Case |
| Service Provision | Contractual Necessity | To manage your account, facilitate creator collaborations, and enable forum/messaging features. |
| Security & Auditing | Legitimate Interest | To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security incidents; to verify user identity. |
| Personalization | Legitimate Interest | To tailor content feeds, suggest relevant creators, and improve user experience based on usage patterns. |
| Legal Compliance | Legal Obligation | To respond to lawful requests from public authorities (e.g., court orders) and adhere to financial record-keeping rules. |
| Marketing | Consent | To send promotional emails about new features or services, only if explicit consent is given. |
3. Data Sharing and Third-Party Processors
We maintain strict protocols for sharing your data:
- Service Processors: We utilize vetted, contractually-bound third parties for:
- Payment Gateway Providers: To securely handle transactions.
- Cloud Hosting & Infrastructure: To store data and run the Service (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud).
- Analytics Providers: To measure site performance (e.g., anonymized data for Google Analytics).
- Law Enforcement and Legal Requests: We will disclose data only if we believe, in good faith, that disclosure is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect our rights or property, or ensure the safety of our users or the public.
- No Sale of Data: We do not sell your Personal Data to third parties for monetary consideration or cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. Data Security and Protection Commitment (Enhanced)
Our “more secure” commitment involves multiple layers of defense:
- A. Technical Measures:
- Transport Layer Security (TLS/SSL): All data transmissions between your browser and our servers are encrypted.
- Data-at-Rest Encryption: Sensitive data fields (like contact information and financial tokens) are stored using AES-256 or equivalent encryption.
- Access Logging and Monitoring: We maintain detailed logs of administrator and moderator access to user data and monitor these logs for suspicious activity.
- B. Organizational Measures:
- Principle of Least Privilege: Employee and moderator access to personal data is restricted based on their necessity to perform their job function.
- Regular Security Audits: We conduct routine vulnerability scanning and penetration testing to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
- Incident Response Plan: We maintain a formal process for detecting, responding to, and mitigating the effects of any data security breach.
5. Data Retention Policy
We retain Personal Data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected:
- Account Data: Retained for the duration your account is active. Upon account deletion, data is anonymized or securely deleted within 90 days, except for information we are legally required to retain (e.g., billing records for tax purposes, retained for a minimum of 7 years).
- Usage/Activity Data: Retained while the account is active or anonymized for long-term analytics and service improvement.
- Log Data: Typically deleted or aggregated after 12 months.
